Carl Godwin, the owner and President, served five years with Carrier National Accounts and eleven years with the Carrier Distributor, Automatic Equipment Sales (AES), prior to founding NorthStar. Carrier, a division of United Technologies, is the largest air conditioning company in the world. AES, prior to being purchased by Carrier, was the largest independent Carrier distributor in the United States. Mr. Godwin is a past president of the National Capital Area Chapter of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA). He is a founding member of Quality One Service Network, a partnership of 22 heating and air conditioning contractors in Maryland and Virginia.
